Architectural Design for Public Safety

Mount Horeb Fire Station

Location: Mount Horeb, WI

Architect: Steve Gausman

Fire Services Specialist: Ed Mishefske

Project Manager: Robert Krzyzanowski

Project Size: 32,900 SF

Mount Horeb retained Five Bugles Design for a comprehensive study that included: a GIS study of optimum site locations within the fire district, a staffing and operations study, and the programming and design of a new central fire station. The Village of Mount Horeb has several prominent buildings inspired by traditional Scandinavian architecture. As an added design challenge, the fire department requested that the new station integrate some of these design elements. The flying dragon motif appears on several buildings in the village.
