Wausau Public Safety Building
Five Bugles Design has worked with the City of Wausau continually over the last few years on Master Planning for multiple fire station projects. The most recent study included master planning and site location analysis for a new Central Fire Station. This study also included a space needs study for the Wausau Public Safety Building, where the Central Fire Station currently resides. The study included space needs analysis for the Police Department relocating into the existing fire station and changing the fire station into a satellite station.
The planned replacement of the Fire Station that was attached to the Wausau Public Safety Building offered the Wausau Police Department to resolve a number of growing concerns in their department, chief among them a need to enclose their fleet of squad cars. Other concerns included resolving workflow issues within the patrol division as well as confidentiality issues with the investigations division’s open office layout. We are working with them to realign their spaces to resolve these concerns.
